If you're a fellow creator, you're definitely in the right place! My creative journey has unfolded right here in Alberta, Canada, where I have spent most of my life. Watercolour with pen and ink is my favourite medium, though I also enjoy working with acrylics and exploring digital art.
In 2020, my creative journey took on new momentum when I began designing and building birdhouses in a wide range of shapes and sizes—simply for the sheer joy of creating them. That sparked a curiosity that hasn’t stopped!
After being inspired by the incredible cardboard sculptures of artist James Lake (see the YouTube video below), I started sculpting with cardboard too. I also discovered the whimsical world of tunnel books, (thanks to the magical work of @alleymcglynn on Instagram), which led me to begin crafting my own tiny, layered worlds.
Now that I'm retired, I’m embracing this new chapter by diving deeper into the things I love: painting, woodworking, and getting lost in paper crafts. Occasionally, I open up spots for commissions or offer pieces for sale, but mostly, I’m just here to make things that bring me joy.
I’d love for you to join me on this journey. Let’s stay connected—you can follow my latest projects over on Instagram at @bethgeorgeart, or feel free to reach out and say hello by clicking the envelope below.
